HMOR tester has been designed according to international standards ISO5013, ISO5014 and Chinese standard GB/T13243, GB/T3002, mainly to measure the hot modulus of rupture (HMOR) of refractories at high and room temperature.
HMOR tester is with PC control, has introduced high-precision temperature collection, high-precision and high-speed force value collection, automatic universal sample-feeding control, thermocouple-break alarming, water-shortage alarming, safety-protection for operation and other I/O control techniques. On the basis of reliable transduce technique, the tester can implement high-precision control of constant stress loading rate with the help of self-developing software. The software is developed under Windows operation for fully automatic test running, data acquisition and storage. Graphic of Temperature Vs. time and load Vs. time can be made on the monitor or jet printer.
For carbon containing material, like MgO-C bricks, reduction atmosphere is necessary. The reliable test results have been obtained with HMOR apparatus by covering the test pieces with graphite in a particular container. If required, nitrogen could be inlet through the hole of push rod.
6 numbers of test pieces in size of 25x25x150 or 4 numbers of test pieces in size of 40x40x160 could be tested in each heating. The test pieces are put forward one by one by means of push rod with motor driven. They arranged on three point bending device (see Fig. 1) The applied software also helps customers with maintenance and check of the tester. Main machine applies frame-type construction, double-step mechanic speed-reduction, and mechanic rigidity load; High-quality bubble alumina material is served as furnace linings which have perfect insulation and energy-saving performance. The tester can automatically manipulate the following operations: temp.-rising, temp.-keeping, loading, sample-feeding, calculating and printing; Related information can be available at any time. Simple manipulation and perfect performance make it good checking instrument used in metallurgy, ceramic and building materials.
